Rihanna indulged in some disco drama on Friday as she stepped out for A$AP Rocky’s birthday in New York. The couple, who have been together since 2019, have two children together: Rza, born in 2022, and Riot, born in 2023.
The singer and Fenty Beauty founder wore a plunging, long-sleeved Lycra dress from LaQuan Smith’s Spring 2025 collection, which debuted during New York Fashion Week last month. She also wore a short fur coat from the American label and completed her look with sunglasses from Dolce & Gabbana, glittering pumps from Gianvito Rossi and gold jewelry from Marie Lichtenberg.

Rocky also sported a look fresh from the runway, wearing a checked coat over a gray suit and a striped shirt from Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2025 collection. He also carried a faux tote bag from the Italian label and completed his ensemble with chunky black oxfords.
The rapper served as the face of Bottega’s pre-spring 2024 campaign last year and recently appeared alongside his sons in a Father’s Day ad for the fashion house.
LaQuan Smith’s latest collection has channeled the pure trend into organza coats, corsets and trousers. The designer was inspired by “the color palettes of the animal world,” sending earthy browns, khakis and yellows down the runway.
“Smith has evolved his basic design codes for spring, offering a new perspective to a range of categories and types of customers,” said Layla Ilchi, senior reporter for men and accessories at WWD.
Sheer styles are nothing new, but this season at New York Fashion Week many labels reinvented the current trend, leaving little to the imagination with fabrics like nylon and lace. Designers like Christian Siriano, Alaïa, Grace Ling, and Ralph Lauren experimented with barely-there clothing in the form of suits, evening wear, and crochet wear.
